Ramble – Bournemouth Chines (5.5miles)

Meet – Branksome Chine CP, Ref 065/897. Winter Charge £2 all day.

Take A338/Wessex Way towards Bournemouth.  Pass under Richmond Hill roundabout and go straight across next Bournemouth West roundabout.  Continue on single carriageway to County Gates Gyratory with Liverpool Victoria Offices (formerly Frizzells) at its centre.  Take left nearside lane marked by Sand Castle symbol and leave the Gyratory at the second exit into The Avenue B3065.  Pass through traffic lights and continue to the sea front.   CP on left at bottom of the hill before the RH bend where there are public toilets and a beach front cafe. The 5.5 mile walk is mostly good underfoot and ideal when the countryside maybe sodden.  The route includes several steps which are not overly demanding and all have handrails.
