Music

For music lovers who prefer “easy listening” melodies of our time.

Everything is “live”, mostly from keyboards, piano, or occasionally, a solo instrument with recorded backing track. We have some good, keen players but always looking for new recruits.

Our meetings have a happy, relaxed feeling among like-minded who just come to listen. Give it a “go!”.

Meetings: 2nd and 4th Mondays @ 2.00 pm

Friday Live – Every Friday @ 10.30 am

Rockin’ Robins

Rockin’ Robins – a singing-for-fun group!

We mainly sing songs from the 1950’s, 1960’s,1970’s as well as standards and songs from musicals and West End shows.

We don’t hold auditions or singing tests, so if you enjoy music and feel like letting your hair down while exercising your vocal chords, come along and join us for an evening.
Our repertoire is regularly extended to include additional pieces suggested by our members and we try to include a variety of styles and types of music. In the past, we’ve also reprised songs from the wartime years in commemoration of the Armistice anniversary.

Occasionally, we put on a short performance for Friday Live and have also appeared at other Association functions such as the Street Party.

We always go home with a smile on our faces.

Meeting: 1st.and 3rd.Tuesdays @ 7.00pm finishing at 8.30pm.

Contact: Freda on 01425 275059 or pop along to one of our evenings.
