What a fantastic week this turned out to be both financially, with a total of £5563 being raised, and with visitors coming from near and far and hopefully bringing in new members.
An evening was enjoyed by a full house, and the winners of the coveted “Wooden Spoons” were Sort of Soul, with Simple Minds taking overall 2nd. place to the winners Bowled Over.
In less than two months we will be opening our FIRST jigsaw festival. Make a note in your diary for Tuesday 6th. August to Saturday 10th August.
Earlier in the year the Church Section approached the Trustees with a request to apply for Charitable status in their own right; after long and detailed discussions, and seeking legal advice, the Trustees concluded that this would not be in the best interest of HCA.
Spring is ‘sprung,’ well sort of. The weather is slightly improved, and it is a bit warmer but I’m sure we are all looking forward to Summer. There remains a lot of activity at Greystones, some good some not so good but all of it will come good soon. Car Parking during Sewage work disruption
We have 45 clubs under our umbrella and meet in a grade 2* listed building with views to the Isle of Wight.
We sing, dance, play cards, petanque, table tennis, we have art and crafts and much more.
We are run by volunteers and we would welcome you to our community.
Facilities at Greystones House include wifi, free car parking, coffee shop, disabled access, kitchen and more
The Association has a well-stocked library of donated Books, Jigsaws, Music, CDs, DVDs and Audio books.

Located close to the seafront at Highcliffe in a Grade 2* listed building there lies a hidden jewel! If you are young or old, alone or part of a family, fighting fit or have a disability, there is something for you! Arts and Crafts, physical exercise, mind-bending card and board games, a well-stocked library (containing not only books but CDs and jigsaws etc. all for hire at virtually give-away prices!); brush up on your languages or learn a new skill! We have it all (and if not we would welcome suggestions as to new activities.) If you are new to the area, or have lived here for many years, come and see what we have to offer!
