The quiz took place in the absence of John Howlett, who, having written the questions, was unfortunately residing in hospital; best wishes for a speedy recovery were conveyed to him from all the participants.
The evening was off to a frenetic start, having to use an extra room to accommodate the ever-increasing numbers of members wishing to participate!
The quiz was such that at the end of the evening there had to be a tie-break not only for 2nd. place (where three teams were only one point behind the winner), but for the wooden spoons, where two teams were only separated by one point from three teams above them!
